Good news and bad news...
Bad news: the landlady that we had a verbal agreement with rented the house out under us to the US Embassy people (actually CDC). She lied so frequently and thoroughly. Ugh. Also bad news is that we feel like we're back to square one with no housing options and facing the likelihood of paying $1000 to find one because of how real estate works here.
Good news: (it's important to count your blessings, right?)
1) we prayed that God would tell us this morning if this house was really going to come through so we wouldn't go on being strung along and he did
2) the people that are going to end up in the house have apparently been living out of a hotel room for a year (the embassy having not been doing a good job at finding houses to rent for people)
3) we're staying in a very livable situation even though we are living out of a suitcase and a box. We have access to a kitchen, great people around us, and even a laundry machine we can use. That's all very good.
