Now that Jeff is a little older, I'm starting to go on dates with him too- I have more time with him anyway because Sam is at school in the mornings. Here are pics of my most recent date with Jeff. We went to the fish park and played on the playground.

Sam found a book on pirates that we'd gotten at a yard sale in the US this year- it had all sorts of piratey activities and for a few afternoons this week, Sam and I worked our way through the book. Sam chose his pirate name (Captain Jolly Hookhand the One-Eyed), wore all his pirate garb (some of it was paper punch outs from the book), hunted for treasure, made up stories of our pirate adventures etc.
The second day- Jeff was awake too- so Sam made him first mate. He liked hunting for treasure too, and would run back to our 'ship' if we told him there were crocodiles or sea serpents coming close.
On Sunday when John was at soccer, and it was pouring rain, I took the boys to the mall. Jeff loved this simple train ride but mostly we played in the indoor playground- ball pit, bouncy castle, climbing maze, slides, etc.
One extra pic- Sam was practicing with a boogie board at his friend's house. His new friend Cougar is a lot of fun for him and is going to lend Sam his boogie board when we go to Phuket next time.
