All four of our parents were together (my mom having just returned from Turkey) for dinner and prayer. We prayed for Sam that he would know God, that he would be protected physically and that his innocence would be protected, that he would move in power, that he would be equipped to fight injustice, and that he would grow in the legacy and blessing of his grandparents, among other things. Also that John and I would hold loosely Sam as our gift from God and that we would discover who Sam is and help him to become that person- not imposing ourselves on him but working with God in helping him find himself.
It was very special evening for me.
