Free time

On our days off we've been exploring the area- it really is beautiful here. Almost every day, we have this 'wow-this-is-so-gorgeous' moment. And for those of you who have been tracking John's obsession with having his own home and where it should be- you should know that John has floated more than once the possibility of Albertville. Just 90 minutes from Geneva's international airport and all those relief and development agencies- even the winters don't seem to scare him off.
Anyway, here are a few of our outings:

We went for a picnic in the mountains nearby and did our french homework over cheese and fruit. Sam has learned to sit by himself so we can actually eat meals all at the same time now :-)

John and I borrowed my parent's car for a scenic drive and ended up on the top of one of the mountains- there are cows here who wear bells- it's such a beautiful sound I'll try to record that sometime. Anyway, as you can see, the clouds were below us.

It snowed in the mountains on the 4th of July- this is a picture taken from my parent's window.
Saturday- John and I drove to Lake Annecy and went to a public 'beach' except it's all manicured grass. Such an idyllic spot.

Ah, so pretty. Lake Annecy is one of Cameron and I's favorite places too.
