...babies. Welcome to the world Caleb, Nellie, Lydia, Chloe, and Elijah (the newest 5 in our lives- though I count 3 others in the summer, a few before that and at least 4 on the way)
It's also just raining here. We are in the rainy season. John and I love big rains (though it can be bittersweet when big rains means mudslides- some have died across the river in Kinshasa). There are inconveniences as well, but mostly we do like big rains. Sam is learning to like them too. And he's learning the word puddle. Here's a video of the main street between us and the main road into town: (technical difficulties- will try to load this video again and post later :-( )
And here are this week's Sam pics and video clips:
I love finding pics and videos that John took when I wasn't around like this pic

And this video of Sam playing was another of John's contributions
I took this pic of Sam and then I realized that he was flinching in anticipation of the flash (seen in the next pic) just like our friend Maddie does- so cute
Here's Sam eating some Thai curry- I love that he happily eats Thai, Indian, Ethiopian, Congolese (except the fermented manioc staple), and stuff like seaweed. I'm trying to make him a more adventurous eater than I am so I slip seafood into his plate whenever I can and try not to make it sound gross (like tuna fish, ick!)

So I took a video of it
