On the road... (this time in Wheaton, IL)

We had a great southern swing. We visited with two friends from Congo (Gebran and Allie) and with friends from our YWAM DTS (Reites), and with our friend from college Ben. We ate lunch at the most amazing diner ever in Birmingham. We had an incredible beach day near Pensacola. And then John pulled off the most incredible surprise ever (part mother's day part bdays). That is really saying a lot, because many of you will remember that he once planned a vacation to FL and got me nearly all the way to the airport in Philadelphia without me knowing a thing. This time, he surprised me with a cruise to the Bahamas on the Disney Wonder and I didn't have a clue until we were actually at the ship. Since I won't be organized enough to post our own pics for awhile if ever, here are a few that I found on google images. There's one of the ship, one of the back of the ship with Donald painting the sign, one of the main lobby which really was gorgeous, one of the kid's pool which is shaped like Mickey and has a splash pad, one of the Toy Story show (all the shows were fabulous and had amazing special effects- all three of us were wowed), and the last is of Disney's private island where we spent a day- it was really idyllic and it was so great to snorkel again after a 2+ year hiatus.

We highly recommend a Disney cruise for anyone with kids- it really was awesome and not cheesy as you might think.

Anyway, we are now enjoying time with family and college friends in the Wheaton area and will be doing our week-long midwest tour starting Friday (IN, OH, MO).

My sister has posted a few posts about our time with them in Boston complete with pics. She pretty much summed up everything so well that I'm not sure I'll ever need to post about that part of our trip, but if you're interested check the two most recent posts out here

'Til the next post...
