our fabulous nieces

Here are a few of our favorite pics from our time in Penang with our nieces- the best stuff is in the videos but we haven't yet learned how to post those yet- and the next best stuff is just chalk-full of baby/toddler nudity :-) So these will have to suffice.

We had so much fun- like Ruthie (3 1/2) trying to wash off John's tatoos in the blow-up pool and drawing new temporary ones on his back with markers, and playing hide and go seek with Lyddie (15 months) which consisted of her running between two couches and putting her head down on the pillows while I counted and said "where's Lyddie?" Of course the giggles (Lyddie giggles a lot) would have given her away even if she weren't in plain sight and looking straight at me (just with her head down on the couch).

Painting and drawing with Ruthie was lots of fun as were our trips to the real pool at John's parents apartment building- floaties rock!

This picture of Ruthie sleeping on me was after she had 'successfully' made it through 'quiet play time' (aka naptime) without falling asleep, so I was reading to her waiting for John to get back and she fell asleep anyway- very cute.
