We had a meeting on Friday with the landlord of a house and made a verbal agreement. We'll be meeting again on Monday to sign the contract. Then there will be a few weeks of work done on the house (painting, repairs) before we move in at the end of June.
We'd like to take pictures to show you this place, but one thing that was misplaced in our most recent move was the dock for the camera so we can't download any pics. We'll see if we can do something about that.
This house is one level- with a small kitchen, big salon/dining room, four bedroom (one with a bathroom off of it) and then another room with a toilet and one with a bath. There is grass/dirt around three sides of the house and the fourth is a wall shared with the house next door. One wall has ivy growing all over it which is really lovely. The front wall is half metal work so we'd be filling that it for a bit more security and privacy. There is a rose bush and a few other plants in the front (which is the part with grass)- but we'd be planting grass over the rest of the yard too- hopefully to grow some vegetables and moringa (read about that here )
We'd have room for the two dogs we'd like to take on and space for Sam to play outside. There are more rooms than we need but this is cheaper than the last place we looked at and we could use an extra room for a pantry/laundry room). John is so good at making the places we live a home and he's held back for the last couple years knowing that we'd be moving so quickly. I hope that this time since we'll be here awhile, we'll really be able to make this place homey for us.
I'll let you know how it goes on Monday :-)
