Sam does not have table manners yet. Every meal, he weaves a path of destruction that requires John's special cleaning abilities. This video is one of our favorites ever- we thought Sam had finished eating so we'd let him out of his chair (note the sphere of destruction in front of his high chair at the beginning of the video) but he was just getting down to climb onto one of the chairs. Then he started trying to eat some leftover rice but couldn't manage it efficiently with the spoon or his hands. When he started doing this- we had to get the camera. Also, for a couple weeks now, Sam has been pointing to his belly button when we ask him where it is. The end of this video has a bit of that though the best times are when he holds back his belly so he can see his belly button.

So cool to see Sam in action. He's such a talented little guy, knowing where his belly button is. I love the way he sort of opens and shakes his hand to try and get the rice off.
In distance learning, the changes are more obvious. He sure is growing up. The video brought such a big smile to my face.
i loved seeing him in action! glad posting videos is going to work. can't wait for the next one. :)
Good work Sam. Your dad loves messes so you're really speaking his love language. Your a great kid. We miss you. Oh, and Madeleine likes your "Crocks" from the other pictures.
Madeleine just watched the video 4 times. I asked her if she wanted to say something to Sam. She says, "Ummm, I don't know. I want to talk him." "Ummm, Da Ming Gong."
Sam is so cute! I'm so glad videos are working!
How is that different than John eats?
so great to be in an internet cafe fast enuf so we don't have to watch Sam eating like John in 3 second spurts.
