He had his playgroup as always so I sent cupcakes and our camera and got these pics which his babysitter took.
Today it was at a house which has a bouncy castle- special fun!!
Then for dinner we went over to Hannah's house- she turned 4 today so we did a little joint celebration.
We're having another joint party with Hannah on Saturday and sometime between now and then I'll take Sam's picture in his bday shirt.
In other news, John and I spent the morning sorting through our clothes, our pantry and our closets for things to sell, things to give away and things to bring with us. We're participating in a yard sale on Saturday so we'll be able to sell all our small stuff. I am giving Sam's babysitter first dibs on all the giveaway and sell stuff- and the prices are good for here so she's taking advantage of it. I'm so glad :-) But whatever she can't use will definitely find a home Saturday which is good too.
Oh, and it looks like we've found a place to sublet for our first six weeks in Thailand. It sounds just perfect- 4 room house of some Americans who will be back in the US for June and July. They have kids so they have kids stuff and their house is kid-proof which is nice too. They are willing to let us use their car too and they will arrange for us to keep their housekeeper who helps with cooking, cleaning and childcare (though I think I'll probably keep Sam with me full-time since he doesn't speak Thai yet?). Anyway, they live close to a neighborhood pool and a big kid's playground and a zoo, so I think Sam and I will do just fine while John is away with his new boss for the first three weeks. We should be able to move into our regular house the first week of August and hopefully we'll have found a vehicle by then too. I'm really glad for how these details are working out- such a relief to not have to arrive and stay in a hotel for awhile.
