Here's my announcement email with a few photos and also some that weren't in the email...
Jeffrey Anchor Littleton
born 9:29 am August 16, 2009 in Chiang Mai, Thailand
7 lbs 2 1/2 ounces
19.29 inches
We named him Jeffrey in honor of John's Dad, Jeffrey William Littleton,
who we loved and admired deeply, and who passed away July 8th.
Anchor is for God's trustworthiness. After choosing the name, we also
found Hebrews 6:19 which speaks of the hope God offers us as an anchor for
the soul, firm and secure.
My labor went well. I was to be induced at 9am on the 16th as I was 14
days past the due date, but I went into labor naturally at 6am. He was
born just 3 1/2 hours later. We had a wonderful doula, Alexandra Harrison,
who helped immensely.
Jeff is doing really well- eating and sleeping well so far. Sam is a
great big brother- freely giving kisses and offering his help with the
baby care. He is a 2 year old though, so some of his ideas are a little
out there (teaching Jeff to ride a bike for example).
John's mom is with us and will be until Thursday. She has been cooking
for us and has been a great help to us. It is wonderful to have her here
to share in the joy of our new boy as the rest of our family and friends
are far away. We wish we could show him off to you in person, but since we
can't here are a few photos:
First pic together (I had the exact same look on my face in the first pic of me with Sam :-) )

Excited to be a new brother (and John's Mom is Grandma times 5 now)
My boys
Sam asks to give Jeff a kiss everytime he sees him
We had a great view from my recovery room- the airport and a golf course. Sam was super excited about watching the planes.
Smiling in his sleep
One of us was soooo tired after the 3 1/2 hour labor starting at 6 am.
Sweet pic of Grandma with Jeff. We had a birthday party for him and Sam had loads of fun blowing out the candles and singing.

A rare eyes open shot from the first day. He's more alert now, but he slept almost the entire first day.
I loved the paintings in my recovery room. John brought me the beautiful orchids and John's mom got me the vase they're in- isn't it lovely? Oh and the monkey toy below it is Sam's gift to Jeff. Sam got a new bike with training wheels and can totally zoom around on it. I'll have to get a video of that loaded sometime.

Jeff looks so precious! Glad he arrived safe and sound...and without too much labor. Sam looks very excited to be a big brother!! Look forward to meeting Jeff in person sometime.
