French class and more Sam (of course)

French class today was really fun, though we've got a lot of progress to make of course. We talked about some basic public health and microfinancing issues like barriers to the success of a project, community buy-in, and then we moved on to discussing government corruption in general and here in specific. A real conversation, albeit with the vocabulary of a third-grader I'm sure :-) (if that).

Last night, Sam looked like such a big kid in his outfit so we added novelty sneakers too- they're rubbish for his feet and lasted all of five minutes, but at least they looked good.

Here's a video that John took of Sam- it's a good example of how he's moving now and also of they way he plays. As I write this he's doing the Sam thing with a set of keys and has moved about 4 feet in a straight line.

He is so dear. How he gets kind of frustrated there in the middle at his inability to move the way he wants, but then keeps plugging at it. :)

Go Sam!
