A very slow weekend

Well this weekend was very slow because I was really sick and am still recovering. I hardly left my bed let alone our apartment and only spent time with Sam to feed him. Apparently, Sam had a great weekend with a couple outings with John (including a car wash- always exciting) and church and walks with my parents. But I'll still post a few pics for those of you who check.

I went to a doctor today and she said I'm doing okay so hopefully I'll be feeling all better sometime soon.

So in looking for some pics I realized that we had a couple super days on Thursday and Friday.
Sam's starting to eat solids so far he's sort of tried... pumpkin, carrots, spinach, and melon- they are almost all greeted with his signature scrunched nose face(as best seen in the sparkling water video (see earlier post)). But here's another go at it

It's Ramadan here- which has some moments that we adore and others that we don't. The markets are awesome, packed and exciting. John and Sam and I went exploring in Takadoum (the closest big market to us). It was really fun.
Sam has done some real crawling but seems to prefer a sort of compilation of up on all fours and then down to his belly and then bringing up his knees and all again. Kind of like on that other video I posted, but he's really competent at it now.

He's also sporting the Indonesian flag these days (thanks Drummonds)- I thought that shirt would never fit when we first got it :-)
Sam and I played tug of war for a long while and he thought it was hilarious- lots of giggles.
Sam is a totally active baby- he flails in his sleep and while he's eating and all the rest of the time too. I added this picture because he's got his blankie which he is pretty attached to these days (thanks to Lee and Veronica and the ladies at OPC- we melded their blankets together and made two so that we can have a spare at all times. Hopefully that will work) It's awesome how Sam clings to it and falls straight to sleep.

I think I'll post a video after all- we had on the muppets while we were cooking and Sam intently looked at the speakers every time they talked. I thought that was pretty funny if not dramatic.

Hey Littlefords - we're too slow w/ our dial-up here in Indo to be able to see your videos but did notice that great Indo shirt - go merah dan putih :)
