Should have been wearing a helmet?

So a couple of weeks ago John and I were pulling out of our parking space when suddenly we heard a snap and lost power steering. That alone was hard enough, because our garage is built for mini cars and we have an accord, but it got worse.

When John looked under the hood to see what the problem was- he discovered... a tail, some entrails, and some fur. Apparently, a rat had gotten trapped in our engine and when the belt broke it killed it. Ewww, right?

It could happen anywhere really- at least anywhere we've lived- maybe not Japan though...

Anyway- all is well again with our car.

Actually I think the rat was having a pleasant snooze when you woke it up by starting the engine. When it frantically scrambled seeking a safe exit from the car it darted through an opening but was caught by the belt and as it was killed, the belt broke.

Was it an accident? or have the rats of the world decided that the lack of peace and serenity in the rat world is due to humans and this was a suicide attack to attempt to disable their transportation?

Will there be more? We must be vigilant!
