Last week, John and I took our nieces to the Penang Bird Park. All in all, it was a little disappointing compared with some of the other places- lots of birds in cages, but... it was really cool to see all the diversity and creativity of God's creation in their plumage, shapes, sounds, etc. Sometimes the sound of all these different kinds of birds making noise at the same time was totally amazing.

And this one is of Ruthie and I with some little owls- it reminded me of one of my favorite children's books (at least of those that were published after I was a child) called Owl Babies- sleeping owls are very cute.
