Hopefully a bit less fluff

I've been thinking that I tend to post pretty fluffy posts most of the time- I think in part that is because pictures are so fun to look at and also because it really is a challenge to decide what of the deeper stuff to put out there publicly, but I thought that I'd at least make an effort to let you know what's going on.

-I think John is recovering well from what really was a pretty stressful year all around for him- his job was a lot more taxing than mine and just today I was thinking as he was joking around how nice it is to have him lighthearted again.

-I'm dreaming about babies a lot these days- obviously some kind of coping mechanism but they are always pretty humorous and often about things like breastfeeding or forgetting to do something obvious for the baby

-We're hoping to have our housing for Philadelphia sorted out by the end of this week- we've got some awesome friends who will let us stay with them which is so great, so we're just waiting to figure out what other options come through (we're looking for a private place hopefully for Feb and March, but we're not sure if that will work out)- please pray about that one for us if you're so inclined :-)

-I've been realizing how time is ticking away in our life pre-kids. It's just 10 weeks until the due date and I'm really feeling a sense of "ready or not, here I come" I'm so excited to meet our baby and start that relationship face to face, but I'm also increasingly understanding how things like doing this right now (writing at 11:45 pm) are going to be different- and I'm enjoying every minute of the time I'm getting with John now- just the two of us.

Actually you will be able to blog at 3 AM when you get up to feed the baby. Isn't that something to look forward to?
