China and the Steiners Rock: Part 2

My favorite eatery moment was at the noodle shop that Phil and Julie frequent- they have a big pile of dough from which they make long thin noodles or 'cut' noodles which this next picture is of. But my favorite was watching the long thin noodles being made- they keep pulling and stretching and 'spanking' the noodles until they have a whole bunch of long thin ones- I was transfixed.



Spending some good quality time with the Steiners was fabulous too- I had really wonderful conversations with Julie and John (as evidenced by this picture of John and Phil watching football streaming over the internet) had his kind of fun too.


We drank hot cocoa, played with Maddie, watched lots of "The Office", learned about life in China and parenting, and explored the streets. We also had a fun outing to Wuhan's historic Yellow Crane Tower on a bright sunny day.






All in all, it was a super trip and we were glad to share some time with the Steiners. Their blog has a fun entry about our visit too... http://www.xanga.com/steiners
